Wills and Estate Planning

It is important for adults to have an updated estate plan throughout the various stages of their lives. Whether you are married or single, with young children, older children, or no children at all, working or retired–an estate plan can provide peace of mind during important changes throughout your life.

A comprehensive estate plan enables you to properly transition your property and investments to your family or heirs in the event of your death or incapacitation. Inheritance can be a loaded issue. By being clear about your intentions, you help dispel potential conflicts after you’re gone. Regardless of your situation, an estate plan can protect your assets, provide proper tax planning, and address business succession issues.

We will ask who you wish to handle your financial affairs if you’re ever incapacitated and who you want making medical decisions for you should you become unable to make them yourself. This will help us determine the assignment of power of attorney, and create a living will and health care power of attorney.
